'N Gratitude 2nd Chance Scholarship Awarded

TU Student Travis Armbrister and Publisher Linda P. Samuel

‘N Gratitude Publishing Company is happy to announce the awarding of its first 2nd Chance Scholarship to Tuskegee University student Travis Armbrister. The scholarship fund was established to assist students who had lost financial aid through normal channels after loosing focus at Tuskegee, but who could now demonstrate that they were ready to get serious about school.

Contrary to our scholarship’s purpose, Mr. Armbrister is a promising 6th year student in the Robert R. Taylor School of Architecture’s 6-year program. He does not fit with our original intent, but he was selected for the scholarship when no U.S. student was identified who met the 2nd Chance Scholarship’s rigid requirements. Since Mr. Armbrister is an international student (Nassau, Bahamas), he does not quality for federal financial aid so ‘N Gratitude Publishing Company was happy to award a scholarship in the amount of $1,200 to help him with registration and/or housing fees for the Spring 2015 semester.

He was previously named by the Tom Joyner Foundation as one of Tuskegee University’s “Hercules Scholars” and serves as Student Representative for the Executive Board of the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA). Travis has also been active in the Tuskegee University Pre-Alumni Council.

‘N Gratitude Publishing Company would like to thank all generous contributors to the 2nd Chance Scholarship Fund.
